Retread Plant Manager 2nd Shift
Wilkes Barre, PA · ManufacturingJOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daily activities of the retreading facility, including oversight of team members and monitoring performance levels of each team member.
- Ensure production goals are being met by all individuals on the team.
- Recognize and resolve customer issues or complaints by determining optimal solutions in a timely manner.
- Utilize necessary training tools to verify that training is complete and consistent. Responsible for regularly following up on training.
- Address employee issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Responsible for department payroll and any disciplinary issues.
- Delegate tasks as needed and follow-up with employees to ensure that tasks are being completed.
- Maintain all documentation and production records.
- Ensure all equipment in plant is properly maintained.
- Manage production schedules, control production, and maintain established production quality.
- Maintain a safe facility and use safety first practices.
- Ensure inventory levels stay within company guidelines and waste or losses are kept at a minimum.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties can and will arise, and the candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School degree or GED
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team, environment doing other job duties.
- Mechanical abilities helpful but not required.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
