Position Summary:
The Inside Sales & Service Manager is responsible for managing all drive-in customer service operations within the commercial tire facility. This role serves as the primary point of contact for walk-in and drive-in customers seeking tire and light mechanical services. The position focuses on delivering quick, efficient service while identifying sales opportunities, developing leads for outside sales representatives, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Inside Sales & Service Manager coordinates closely with technicians, service staff, and outside sales teams to ensure smooth daily operations and maximum service productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Intake Operations
- Serve as the primary contact for all drive-in customers requiring tire service, repair, replacement, and light mechanical work.
- Accurately diagnose customer needs and write service tickets for technicians.
- Provide timely estimates, service recommendations, and completion timelines.
- Ensure a fast turnaround for customer vehicles to maintain high service efficiency.
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding service progress and additional recommendations.
Sales Development & Lead Generation
- Identify opportunities for additional tire, service, and preventative maintenance sales.
- Develop and cultivate leads for Outside Sales Representatives within commercial, fleet, construction, and industrial segments.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing drive-in customers to grow repeat business.
- Assist in quoting tire packages, service contracts, and fleet programs when appropriate.
- Track and communicate potential new accounts or service opportunities to the outside sales team.
Service Coordination
- Schedule and prioritize work for technicians to ensure efficient shop workflow.
- Coordinate tire service, mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance services.
- Monitor job progress and ensure work orders are completed accurately and promptly.
- Work closely with technicians to ensure proper parts, tires, and materials are available.
Operational Support
- Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and work orders within the company system.
- Ensure proper inventory usage and communicate stocking needs with management.
- Support shop productivity goals and help maximize billable labor hours.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, organized, and customer-friendly service environment.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong long-term relationships with commercial accounts and local businesses.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Promote company service programs, retread offerings, and preventative maintenance services.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial tire service, automotive service management, or inside sales.
- Strong understanding of commercial truck tires, OTR tires, and light mechanical services preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency with service management or POS systems.
- Leadership ability to coordinate technicians and service personnel.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in commercial tire, truck service, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment industries.
- Familiarity with service quoting, work order management, and shop scheduling.
- Proven ability to generate sales opportunities and support outside sales teams.

Work Environment:
This position operates in both an office and service shop environment within a commercial tire facility. Regular interaction with technicians, customers, and sales staff is required.
