About the Role
McCarthy Tire Service, one of North America’s leading commercial tire dealers, is hiring a dependable Off-the-Road (OTR) Tire Technician for a dedicated mine site in Kershaw, SC. This is a resident position, with all work performed on-site at the mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Mount, dismount, repair, and inspect OTR tires on heavy mining equipment
- Perform daily tire inspections and maintenance
- Operate and safely use a tandem boom truck for tire handling and service operations
- Maintain service records and follow all safety protocols
- Work closely with site supervisors and mine personnel
- Operate tire handling and service equipment safely and effectively
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Ability to work in a mine environment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Mechanical aptitude or tire service experience preferred
- Willingness to obtain TIA OTR Tire Certification (training provided)
