General Service Technician

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Service Technician to join our team. The General Service Technician is primarily responsible for tire services, preventive maintenance, oil changes, and light-duty automotive repairs while delivering quality customer service and maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tire mounting, balancing, rotations, installations, and tire repairs.
• Perform oil changes, fluid services, and other routine preventive maintenance.
• Replace batteries, bulbs, wiper blades, filters, and other light-duty automotive components.
• Properly inspect tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns and communicate any concerns to the Service Writer or Manager.
• Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify completed services.
• Communicate vehicle or tire concerns and recommended services to the Service Writer or Manager.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Follow all applicable OSHA, state, local, and company safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service area.
• Properly use, maintain, and care for shop equipment and tools.
• Assist with inventory management and maintaining adequate shop supplies.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a professional, team-oriented work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Valid State Inspection License, if required for the position.
• Previous automotive service experience preferred.
• Passenger-vehicle tire service experience preferred.
• Must provide and maintain your own required hand tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
