Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 per year + Generous profit bonus program
About the Position
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Location Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Richmond, VA location.
The Location Manager will play a key role in driving the success of the location by leading and developing a high-performing team, delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing operational performance, and helping achieve sales and profitability goals.
This is an opportunity for an experienced professional with tire industry or related industry experience who enjoys leadership, takes ownership of results, and wants to play a meaningful role in the growth and success of a location.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop location personnel to create a professional, productive, and positive work environment.
- Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, and performance goals for team members.
- Recruit, interview, and recommend qualified candidates for open positions.
- Train, coach, and develop employees to help them reach their full potential.
- Address performance issues and provide appropriate coaching and corrective action when necessary.
- Build a culture centered around accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
- Approve time-off requests and assist with scheduling and staffing needs.
Sales & Customer Experience
- Work closely with the sales team to drive sales performance and achieve location goals.
- Develop and implement strategies and action plans to improve sales, customer retention, and overall operating results.
- Build strong relationships with customers and help ensure a consistently positive customer experience.
- Resolve customer concerns and operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and overall performance of the location.
Operations & Financial Performance
- Oversee the daily operations of the location and ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed.
- Assist with developing and managing the location's budget and operating expenses.
- Monitor payroll, labor costs, overtime, and other personnel expenses.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory counts are completed according to company guidelines.
- Assist with product ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and night-call rotations as needed.
- Identify operational challenges and develop solutions that allow the team to meet or exceed established goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators and use business results to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with leadership to develop and execute strategies that support the location's financial and operational objectives.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
- Identify and address safety hazards and ensure proper workplace practices are followed.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in proper working order.
- Ensure employees comply with all applicable company policies and procedures.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, sales staff, and company leadership.
- Work collaboratively with leadership and other departments to accomplish company objectives.
- Provide regular feedback regarding location performance, staffing, customer concerns, and operational opportunities.
- Take ownership of projects and initiatives from planning through completion.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while adapting to changing business needs.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in the tire industry or a related field who understands how to successfully operate a busy retail, commercial, automotive, or service-oriented location.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in the tire industry or a related field.
- Previous management or leadership experience in a retail, commercial, automotive, tire, service, or related environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and manage budgets, payroll, personnel costs, and overtime expenses.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and high level of professional integrity.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license required.
